Can We Watch Top Gear USA from NBC Online?
It is official, we will get Top Gear, a USA version coming to USA. Though there have been fears that Top Gear USA will “suck” we should be watching Top Gear online just as soon as NBC releases that new show online.
“It’s official — Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust and Eric Stromer will be the threesome of hosts for NBC’s US version of the greatest driving show ever — Top Gear. We’ve got the full press release with all the details on Top Gear USA below the jump.”
Of course this will not be the exact same Top Gear, it will be the new USA version, which we hope will be as great as the British version, though Jay Leno host of the Tonight Show had fears that Top Gear USA would “suck”. According to Wiki “Leno expressed concern that an American version could lack the critical reviews the British version is known for.
Currently the British version of Top Gear is produced for the BBC with public funds while the American show will air on commercial television. Leno believes that the show may have to worry about offending current and potential sponsors by giving their products poor reviews, leading to a compromise in the journalistic integrity and freedom of the original show.”
When can wwatch Top Gear USA online? Hopefully this fall. Full episodes will be available via NBC.com.
